Tinker the Robot was created to be taken apart, put back together, colored on, programmed and just tinkered with. Invented by Kay Yang, who spent most of her childhood taking things apart and sometimes putting them back together, she wanted to create a toy that was designed to be tinkered with.

14 year old Gabriel has been passionate about building, making and putting things together. He has been attending the Bay Area Maker Faire since he was 10 years old and has always dreamed of entering one of his creations in a Maker Faire. For his current project, a Wooden Electric Kart, Gabriel was inspired by an article on Karts and Wheels in his Make Magazine (Issue 26). As soon he got home from summer vacation, he started working on his cart.

Come join Robotics Society of Southern California (RSSC) for a day of fun at the OC Mini Maker Faire.
RSSC is an experimental robotics society formed in the late 1970’s around the time when many computer clubs where being formed. RSSC meets once a month on the 2nd Saturday of the month at California State University Long Beach. Anyone interested in robotics and other latest technologies such as 3D printing, maker movement, Artificial Intelligence of any age group and skill level is welcome to come to their meetings.
